DAYS COUNTDOWN
Holiday period obliges, our schedule takes a serious hit which undermines our desire to balance our life as a mother and our life as an entrepreneur. Time stands still for everything about our business. I have to deal with my little tornado full time at home. During these few days, I can no longer be reached by telephone, except in cases of force majeure (see the “pursuit” technique already mentioned). The big challenge to take on, during vacation periods, is to achieve the same thing by arranging your working time in a very... offbeat way! It's mainly in the evening and during naps that I work. Every possible window, no matter how short, is an opportunity to move forward. We even took advantage of our walk in the Park to stop by the post office to send our packages prepared the night before. “Mom, what are all the gifts you give to the man at the counter? »
Moms' ally: the indefinitely washable high chair cushion. Easy to maintain, it resists overflowing meals and small manual activities that leave marks!
SMALL ARRANGEMENTS WITH ITS BIG EDUCATIONAL PRINCIPLES
The task during this holiday period is to ensure that everyone benefits. I have to be 100% with my daughter while remaining “connected” to my activity. The general atmosphere must therefore be good, the moods are balanced. I am a little less “sticky” to certain usual rules. To do this, I allow myself small deviations from my “major principles of education”… and I make arrangements with those who allow me to feel less guilty! My little angel decides to eat with her fingers? After all, Montessori recommends letting them do so, so that they gain autonomy... (and long live washable covers because we then find ourselves in a real battlefield!). And then a few minutes in front of a cartoon has never killed anyone. I myself spent a few hours in front of the Club Dorothée and the consequences do not seem that catastrophic to me.
During the Easter holidays, a simple activity to do: a chocolate cake
The favorite moment of this “home” activity: decorating the cake with Smarties!
HOW TO ENSURE A NICE HOLIDAY (AT HOME)?
I must admit that it is certainly not very pleasant for our children to have a mother who is only half available. A mother whose mind is elsewhere and who, sometimes, only listens with one ear to her thoughts. So I decide to offer him, every day, an activity that changes our habits. To instill a holiday spirit into it as best we can! A simple occupation but one that takes us both out of our daily lives. So I’m sharing with you my “TOP 5” anti-routine, perfect for sunny days:
No. 1: Having a picnic outside (in the park or in the garden) and with a friend* is even better!
No. 2: Get flowers and aromatic herbs and plant them.
No. 3: Invite a friend for a snack that we have prepared together (what a party to bake a heart-shaped cake, lick the dish and decorate it with Smarties)
No. 4: Go for a long bike ride and improvise a snack in front of a beautiful panorama
No. 5: Create a canvas and watch a nice cartoon such as “Peter Rabbit” (especially if it rains!!)
On this note, I wish all your little ones lots of rest for these holidays and to attack the last part of the year on a good foot!
Kisses

PS: the sunny days are setting in, the temperatures are rising! Think about the lightweight cotton muslin sleeping bag for your little baby!
