LA TERRAZZ' ATTITUDE: When TERRAZZO takes over the bedroom

At a time when the very fashionable “Terrazzo” is all the rage in interior decoration and is becoming a very trendy reference, Miliane was inspired by it to use it on her range of childcare linen. Thus, Terrazzo also finds its place in baby's world.

Be careful, this is not the latest trendy cocktail of the summer in beach bars ("A Terrazzo please!... and 2 straws!") but rather the trendy decor of the moment around which it is not Don't miss it! The great Parisian houses such as Maison Plisson, Maison Kitsuné and Hermès, show us the way by adopting it.

THE ORIGIN OF INSPIRATION

Terrazzo, also called “Granito”, is a graphic and elegant material, which is making a comeback in the world of architecture, design and decoration.

Example of inspiring Terrazzo used in interior decoration

It finds its origins in antiquity, in Italy. He spent a stint in the 90's with the Memphis movement and has returned today, appearing in boutiques, restaurants and even the trendiest decorative objects!

It is made of natural stones and elements like marble, granite, polished glass or metal. Its composition and method of manufacturing make Terrazzo an elegant and simple work! The result is unique each time, each Terrazzo is unique and it is impossible to obtain the same one twice. That's what makes it so beautiful and so desirable!

Here is a creation of my kitchen floor:

Another example of Terrazzo in softer shades

Combined with oak furniture and a white worktop, this floor gives the space a resolutely modern and decorative effect.

A TRENDY DECOR FOR MY BABY

Initially used as flooring, it has become the inspiration of the moment. It is available in other formats (worktop, splashback, textile, ceramic, etc.).

For the first collection by Milinane , I wanted to make a pattern inspired by Granito with fresh and cheerful colors such as coral, rust and bluish gray

Our "Terrazzo" is available on stroller seats, cozy seats, bed sets, play mats, high chair seats, baby deckchair seats, blankets and swaddles and even changing table covers.
