MUST HAVE N°3: The essential play mat

Posted by Marine Fontana on

So to continue the little series of “Must-Haves” I continue with the majestic and super comfortable playmat ! “But why is this play mat supposed to be in my top 10 essentials? » you will tell me. You don't really feel concerned about this object? I grant you, he is not the one who will change diapers for you, but I invite you to seriously consider the issue. Let me explain:

AN INTRODUCTION TO TRAVEL*

After all, our little one spends the first 6 months of his life lying down, bundled up or even stuck in his bed, his cosi or his cradle. “When you think about it, it must be s***, right? » a very good friend told me. After a few weeks in the warmth we want to give him a taste of freedom. Help him, little by little, to make him aware of his little body in this big void. Make him understand, sensorially first, that he is a nomad-acrobat ready to discover the world! Little beetle, great traveler you will become!

GENTLE LEARNING

And this change of landscape allows him to gain confidence, to better understand mobility. This playmat then becomes essential for fans of the very fashionable “free psychomotricity”. Like a little turtle on his back, our little angel discovers, over time, the talents of a master Yogi. Like delicate learning to one's environment, another perception of sounds, another angle of view. In practice, logic dictates that we let him do it, lying on his back. But seeing our little angel leave her nest to get closer to the floor or even the living room carpet, during an uncontrolled roll, put me off a little. He became my best friend.

A LIVING ROOM SQUATTER

Once we put this principle into practice, the play mat then becomes a real squatter of our interior. Spread out in the middle of our living room, laziness pushes us to put it away only in the event of an exceptional visit or natural disaster, head for the washing machine! I might as well tell you that its appearance should not stand out too much if you are strongly attached, like me, to the decoration of your interior. Transforming my living room into a multi-colored childcare paradise is out of the question (the games already do the job!). But there, my quest for “beautiful” was in vain between the ultra colorful rugs, not suited to my decor and those which seemed uncomfortable to me. Hence the importance, for Milinane, of offering trendy play mats that meet current tastes.

So, do you like this rug?

Nice week
